Is victory ours!? There's a chance that Kit Harington — and those luscious locks — could be making a grand return to the HBO hit Game of Thrones, despite his character's shocking death last season. The British actor may have spilled the beans about Jon Snow's fate during a recent interview with Dutch magazine Humo.
"I had to pass on amazing parts because I was attached to Game of Thrones. So the show is like a double-edged sword to me: I owe a lot to it, but at the same time it has almost completely drained me," Harington, 28, said, translated by a Redditor. "Oh well, I try not to think about it too much. The important thing is that I now know exactly how long I am still under contract…"
But his revealing chat didn't end there. Asked how many seasons he's signed on for, he replied: "Nice try. I can't talk about that. Let's just say that Game of Thrones will remain a part of my life for a while, I'll probably be in my thirties when it's over. One thing's for sure: the day I'm no longer on Thrones is the day I'll bury myself in movie projects."
As die-hard fans know (oh, the tears!), Jon Snow appeared to be killed off in the Season 5 finale. Harington opened up about the brutal scene during an interview with Entertainment Weekly after the dramatic episode aired in June.
"I kind of knew it was coming," he revealed. "I didn’t read [George R.R. Martin’s novel] A Dance with Dragons. But I read the other books and I had heard this is what happens. So I had an inkling it should be this season," he said at the time. "I didn’t realize it would be the final shot of the season and that made it extra special. It’s always kind of nice really when you’re the last thing that happens in that episode."
Nevertheless, there were signs that Jon Snow may still be alive. Back in July, Harington was spotted walking around Belfast. According to New York Daily News, he was also caught on set during a battle scene in Saintfield, Northern Ireland last week.
