Keeping Up With the Kardashians Recap: Kourtney Kardashian Struggles to Separate From Scott Disick

Keeping up With the Kardashians
Kourtney Kardashian struggles to separate from Scott Disick while Caitlyn Jenner's ESPY causes drama

It seemed that everyone was stuck between a rock and a hard place on Keeping Up With the Kardashians on Sunday, Nov. 15. Front and center was Caitlyn Jenner, who called Kim Kardashian to ask her to attend the ESPYS (where the former Olympian received the Arthur Ashe Courage Award).

Kim agreed to go, but still had some reservations. "We want to go to the ESPYS. We want to support her," the pregnant star explained before adding, "I also am really sensitive to my mom, though, because Caitlyn just did a Vanity Fair article that wasn't so nice to my mom. But I just have to balance out both people so they both feel supported." For her part, Kris Jenner seemed to be holding up well, unveiling her new motto: That was then. This is now.

Kourtney Tries to Cut the Cord (From Scott, That Is)

Things were really rough for Kourtney Kardashian, who revealed to Kim and Kris that she'd asked Scott Disick to move out. Kris responded by comparing Kourtney to a single mom waiting for her partner to come home, and urged her, "You don't need to wait for him to come anymore." (This didn't seem to make Kourt feel any better, just FYI.)

Both her mother and sister predicted she would meet a new love when she least expected it, but Kourtney didn't seem remotely interested in that just yet. "Let's look on the bright side. Now I have a huge closet, you guys," she quipped.

Later on, however, Kourtney admitted the situation was wearing on her. "We're trying to be the best that we can to be a team living apart," she told Kris — who stared at Kourtney like she was speaking German. Kris got it together quickly enough, however, to respond to what her daughter had said. "I really do genuinely care about him and love him, but I want him to know at the same time that he still has to take responsibility," the momager declared.

Kris and Corey (and Khloe and Kourtney) Sitting in a Tree

After grilling her mom about her new boyfriend, Corey Gamble, Khloe Kardashian agreed to join the pair at a winery in Malibu, and recruited Kourtney to come along, too. Kris and Corey arrived via helicopter while Kourt and Khloe took the poor man's transport: a regular old SUV.

Once everyone was settled, Kris and Khloe offered Kourtney (more) unwanted dating advice, which basically amounted to: 1) She would/should never date a basketball player because they're too tall, and 2) Overall, she's just too picky. Fortunately, Kourtney seemed too enthralled by the assortment of animals — including llamas, giraffes, and camels — at the winery to pay much attention to their advice. "I am enjoying myself," Kourtney told the camera. "I am so happy and grateful to have such strong people around me to keep me feeling positive."

Things Get Complex for Khloe

Unable to do her own "sexy" photo shoots due to her pregnancy, Kim enlisted Khloe to pose for the cover of Complex magazine. Though Khloe declared she had body dysmorphia and couldn't possibly pose in a bikini for something like that, Kim charged ahead.

"I appreciate the effort, but I am not like you, Kim," Khloe explained. "I am not comfortable baring my naked a– on the cover of a magazine. It's weird to do that."

Still, Kim's persistence eventually paid off and Khloe agreed to the shoot. "I want to embrace my body and my curves," she said before adding that she was "very nervous" and did "feel a lot of pressure." The shoot went off without a hitch, however, and by the end of the day, Khloe was singing a different tune, delighted with the shots. "We're going to be on so many jail cells!" she cheered. "It's gonna be ridiculous!" Hey, a girl's gotta have goals.

Caitlyn Gets Her ESPY, Puts Kendall and Kylie in an Awkward Position

The night of the ESPYS finally arrived and all five sisters headed to the awards show to support Caitlyn — but made plans have dinner afterwards with their mother. Kris took the news that all of her daughters were heading to the event in stride, but "decided to sit this one out" herself. "I haven't met Caitlyn yet and I think it would be so awkward to meet her under these circumstances," she revealed to the camera.

Caitlyn's speech went off without a hitch and earned the praise of both of her daughters, Kendall and Kylie Jenner. "I think what my dad is doing now is amazing," Kylie said, while Kendall added, "I think this is a huge step for everyone to process the transition. I love being here to support her and I love seeing my dad happy."

But that happiness was tarnished somewhat when Caitlyn learned that the five girls weren't attending her dinner after the event. "Dad and Mom put me and Kylie into this weird position of choosing between them," Kendall revealed to Kim and Kourtney later on when they were all hanging out. "Dad wouldn't talk to me," she added, looking rather upset. Kim brushed it aside without too much concern.

"It was just so fresh after Vanity Fair and we felt at some point we had to take a stand for Mom," she said. "Caitlyn is not happy with us, [but] there's nothing we can do about it now. We're just doing the best we can to be supportive."

Fortunately, North West was on-hand to change the conversation to lighter topics by suggesting Kim name her next baby Preston. "Preston Dollar!" Mason Disick added. Sounds pretty perfect to Us.
