Two weeks after The CW officially confirmed Gossip Girl's sixth fall season would be its last, costar Leighton Meester is already making her post-show plans.

Calling the end of Gossip Girl "bittersweet," Meester, 26, acknowledges to E! News that she's not entirely broken up about letting cameras roll for the last time. "It's great to move on and do something different," she told E!, adding that her immediate plans after the series wraps include catching up on sleep and spending time with her family. "Playing the same character for six years is great, but it's exciting to do other things."

Once Meester finishes out her stint as New York City Queen Bee Blair Waldorf, the actress intends to also devote time to her budding music career. "I want to release an album by the end of the year," Meester, who dropped her first official single, "Somebody to Love," in 2009 and appeared on the single and in the music video for Cobra Starship's "Good Girls Go Bad" that same year, hints to E! News. "I probably have 20 songs ready but will release an album with 10 or 11."

And as much as Gossip Girl fans may delight in seeing their favorite Upper East Siders on the big screen, Meester is shooting down rumors of a possible film adaptation — at least for the time being.

"I've never heard anything from producers or from anyone involved with Gossip Girl," Meester admits. "I only hear about it when I'm asked about it in interviews."
