Former Dancing With the Stars pro Lindsay Arnold is not ruling out a potential return to the ballroom — but season 35 just might not be the right time.
“I’ve always said that I will literally never say never because I love the show. There’s so many aspects of it that I miss,” Lindsay, 32, exclusively told Us while promoting her partnership with Stitch Fix. “In a perfect world, I could do the show and also do all the other things I have and also take my kids to all of their things and also be home. … But I think right now, I am just absolutely loving and embracing this phase of life that we’re in.”
Lindsay explained that her children, whom she shares with husband Sam Cusick, will begin school soon and she wants to be fully present in their Utah lives rather than juggling dancing, parenthood and the inevitable responsibilities in Los Angeles that come with DWTS. (The couple are parents to daughters Sage, 5, and June, 3, and son Hayes, 2 months.)
“I’ve got my girls in so many different things, and I love being there for all of those things. I love being able to be fully present and just embrace this phase of life,” Lindsay said. “I feel really grateful for all the years that I had on the show and embracing that phase of my life.”
Lindsay’s youngest sister, Rylee Arnold, previously told Us that the former pro was likely saying “no” to DWTS right now because she’s feeling “so established in her life.” When asked about Rylee’s assessment, Lindsay agreed that she’s soaking up this chapter.
“I feel like there’s a lot of really awesome things that I’m doing that are fulfilling me and helping me with a creative outlet and making me feel like I’m creating something for myself. So, yes, I think what she said kind of sums it up,” Lindsay said. “Again never say never because I love the show so much and getting to do [DWTS] Con was such a fun reminder of that passion. I think as of now, no, I’m really just loving where we’re at and being able to be here with my family and doing all the things that we’re doing.”
While she may not be lacing up her dancing shoes right now, Lindsay is staying busy with her Stitch Fix partnership and challenging the unrealistic pressure to “bounce back” after giving birth.
“I feel like as a mom of three, I’m not doing anything or adding anything into my life unless it’s going to make my days easier because it’s just crazy,” she said. “I think one of the biggest things that I live by across the board is embracing every stage of life that I am in. I think it’s so easy in this culture to feel like we need to bounce back from whatever it is to always stay in this pristine premium phase of life.”

Lindsay shared that she’s “truly just embracing everything about postpartum,” whether that means changes to her body, her fitness level or the clothing that she feels comfortable in.
“If you’ve been pregnant, postpartum, you know that your body is constantly changing and it can be hard to feel confident,” she said. “The clothes that fit you at one point of your life probably won’t fit you at this point. I just love that Stitch Fix helps you embrace that. They’re not forcing you to fit into the clothes that maybe fit you before baby or before pregnancy. They’re helping you find this kind of new sense of style in this new phase of life. It truly has taken so much time off of my hands.”
