Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke are happy to report their friendship is activated once again after going through a public breakup.
“That was, like, another 10 lifetimes ago,” Lindsay, 39, exclusively shared in her Us Weekly cover story when recalling her split. “God bless Carl, love the guy as a friend.”
Things weren’t so friendly in August 2023 when Carl, 41, called off his engagement to Lindsay just weeks before their wedding. While the pair continued filming Summer House together, things didn’t drastically get better until the pair had an open and honest chat — in front of the cameras, naturally.
“I had a very important, much-needed, much overdue conversation at the end of this past season of Summer House, where it was finally a closure conversation,” Lindsay recalled to Us. “I don’t think either of us really realized how much we needed that because we just never talked about anything after he broke up with me.”
While taping the Summer House season 10 reunion in April, Lindsay recalled host Andy Cohen asking if she was friends with Carl again.
At the time, the Hubb House Nashville owner said she was in a “friendlier place” with her costar and friend.
But as the Summer House cast faced a scandal with Amanda Batula and West Wilson dating, Lindsay said she grew even closer to Carl.
“I feel like it really did sort of bring us together in a way that I completely did not expect, and it’s just nice,” she said. “I feel like it’s nice to joke, to laugh, to tell inside jokes that only we know about. I did his podcast. I went back to Soft Bar and the teddy bear is still there. He might start selling them. I was like, ‘All I do is help you make money.’”

In a separate interview with Us, Carl acknowledged he’s in a much better place with Hubbard.
For the fans hoping the pair get back together, he absolutely finds it “flattering.” At the same time, the “More Life” podcast host believes keeping things platonic is the right thing to do.
“I always joke in my head. I’m like, ‘You guys saw how we were before, right?” he told Us. “I was a big part of obviously why things didn’t work out, but I do believe we’re better off as friends. Have I really enjoyed doing some of these fun brand things with her or spending more time with her? Absolutely. Is there a chemistry that we have? Absolutely. But I think for the time being, friends is the best place for us.”
These days, Lindsay and Carl can be found hanging out together with mutual friends.
At a recent birthday party for In the City star Nick Barber, Lindsay handed her baby Gemma to Carl so she could have a moment of rest.
“It’s cute. I don’t really think too much into it,” she explained to Us. “I post a picture with Carl and the fans are like, ‘Oh, my God, get back together.’ … We’ve moved on.”
