"Here's what I can tell you [about season 3]: I'm on it," Friends alum Kudrow, 50, quipped during an interview with Arsenio Hall. "I mean, I don't know if they made up those secret groups who go around and kill people [on the show]. Maybe they exist! I'm just going to follow orders. It's Shondaland – I'm afraid," Kudrow admitted, referring to Scandal's notoriously tight-lipped creator Shonda Rhimes.

Three weeks after first confirmed Kudrow's casting, the actress told talk show host Hall that she won't necessarily be settling into the D.C. fold for very long. In other Scandal news, recurring season 2 cast member Scott Foley will see his character Jake Ballard upped to a series regular this fall. Kudrow, for one, is anxious to see how unresolved mysteries — including the fate of Foley's Ballard, who was last seen thrown into an isolation hole — play out. Says Kudrow: "Isn't it a thrilling show?! That's why I wanted to do it, because it's so thrilling to watch!"

Scandal's third season premieres Oct. 3 at 10 p.m. (EST) on ABC.
