No really guys, this is what dreams are made of! On Tuesday, April 28, Hilary Duff, Lalaine, and Jake Thomas of Lizzie McGuire fame reunited at a bowling alley. Sadly, cartoon Lizzie and regular Gordo were missing. (Let’s get #WheresGordo trending, shall we?)
Thomas, 25, who played Lizzie’s annoying younger brother Matt McGuire, posted the reunion pic on Instagram, writing, “So this happened last night… #LizzieMcGuire.”
Lalaine, 27, who played Lizzie’s bestie Miranda Sanchez, shared the same shot in black and white on Twitter, writing, “#About last night #AMomentLikeThis.”
Duff, 27, who starred in the show as the title character, shared another photo with a group of friends at the bowling alley, but didn’t offer up any pictures to make Disney fans squeal.
The trio starred on the hit Disney Channel original series from 2001 to 2004 and in 2003’s The Lizzie McGuire Movie.
Duff went on to appear in 2004’s A Cinderella Story and the Cheaper By the Dozen films. She had a recurring role as Olivia Burke on Gossip Girl and currently stars as Kelsey Peters on Younger. Lalaine tried out her own singing career and has had several small roles in films like 2010’s Easy A. Thomas has also continued his acting career with a few small roles and is a photographer.
When asked by the Huffington Post about a potential Lizzie McGuire reunion in September 2014, Duff cheekily answered, “I love it! I would be totally open to it. My schedule is a little busy right now. But um … why not?” in reference to her hit 2003 single “Why Not.”
