The ABC competition series’ preview clip shows McCormick, 60 — who is partnered with dance pro Artem Chigvintsev for season 23 — getting a visit at rehearsal from Henderson, 82. McCormick — who is dancing to the Brady Bunch theme song in this week’s episode — played Marcia on the classic 1970s sitcom, while Henderson was her TV mom, Carol Brady.

“When I’m with you, it all feels just like … yesterday, and so beautiful,” McCormick tells her former costar in the clip.

McCormick spoke to Us exclusively a few days before the September 19 episode, and she revealed that Henderson offered some DWTS advice before McCormick signed on. Henderson herself competed on season 11, coming in eighth place.

“She just called me, and she was so supportive and so happy that I’m doing it because she knows a lot of the fears I had about it,” McCormick tells Us. “So she’s 100 percent behind me and telling me to have fun and dance my booty off and that she’s right there with me!”

McCormick, who earned a 22 for her Viennese waltz during the September 12 premiere, says she “wasn’t upset” by the judges’ criticism and is “just really looking forward to the whole journey and everything that happens.” But she points out that Henderson definitely felt that the judges got it wrong.

“She called and told me, ‘Oh, Mo, we really really think you got scored way low! But the same thing happened to me – just be strong and push forward,'” McCormick says.

“I’m so proud of [my start on DWTS], and it’s funny because one of the judges said, ‘You really need to learn to trust Artem,’ and Artem and I feel like the trust is there 100 percent,” the former child actress continues. “So sometimes it seems like things are misinterpreted, which is fine, but I do trust him 100 percent.”

McCormick adds that she’s “thrilled” to be dancing to the theme song for the show that brought her into the public eye.

“I could never get sick of the song,” she tells Us of the catchy Brady theme. “I love it. It’s a feel-good, happy, up song that I think makes people feel good, and it makes people smile. It makes me smile, too!”
