Meek Mill Continues Drake Feud With New Diss Track “Wanna Know”: Listen!

Meek and Drake feud
Meek Mill released his new Drake diss track

Putting the meek in Meek Mill? Nicki Minaj's boyfriend continued his ongoing feud with Drake on Thursday evening, July 30, releasing a new diss track called "Wanna Know." While Meek finally answered the Canadian rapper, many listeners were less than impressed with his response.

The Philadelphia native, 28, was prompted to record the diss track when Drake, also 28, targeted him with the release of two new songs, "Charged Up" and "Back to Back Freestyle." Meek Mill seemingly spent the better part of a week preparing "Wanna Know" after his conflict with Drizzy heated up in recent days.

The song is accompanied by artwork of Drake with long braids, and riffs on the Degrassi alum's 2015 hit "Know Yourself." Meek continues his earlier message that Drake doesn't "write his own raps" in the lyrics, rapping, "You really sweet, I call you buttercup / You f–king dork you changed the style because you studied us / Coming with the same flow / Switching up your lingo / We just want a refund, this ain’t what we paid for / Every time that we come, we get what we came for / Spitting another n—as s–t, but you claim you king though?"

Drake was hardly upset by Meek Mill's diss, taking to Instagram soon after the song was released to post a photo of himself looking at his iPhone and cracking up. He was joined in his reaction by stars such as NBA player Isiah Thomas, who tweeted, "Dang that was disappointing smh," and comedian Brian Gaar, who joked on Twitter, "Maybe 'Meek' isn't the best name to give yourself as a rapper. 'Excuse me sir [wrings hands] I believe your flow is wack.'"

As previously reported, Minaj has been stuck in the middle between her boyfriend and her friend. The "Anaconda" performer, 32, has been close with Drake for years, collaborating with him on tracks like "Moment 4 Life," "Only," and her latest hit, "Truffle Butter."

Drake name-dropped Minaj in one of his many bars targeting Meek in recent days, poking fun at the rapper for hopping on Minaj's Pinkprint World Tour by rapping, "Is that a world tour or your girl’s tour?" For her part, the "Bang Bang" performer has largely stayed quiet on the feud, refusing to engage with either side on Twitter.
