Battle round! Miley Cyrus “totally butted heads” with Voice coach Adam Levine when she appeared as season 10’s key adviser, a source reveals in the new issue of Us Weekly.
The problem: The two are just too similar. “They both have short attention spans,” says a source close to the NBC talent search. “They find each other annoying. Adam would get agitated when Miley would interrupt him, and she enjoyed getting under his skin.”
The 23-year-old, who will be a coach on season 11, had more success getting costar Blake Shelton to turn his chair in her favor. Adds the insider, “Blake and Miley got along extremely well!”
As Us previously reported, Alicia Keys will join Cyrus on the popular singing competition series as a coach. The superstars will replace season 10’s Pharrell Williams and Christina Aguilera.
“It’s true! I am going to be the newest judge on Season 11 of The Voice @NBCTheVoice #thevoice,” Cyrus tweeted on March 25.
The Voice airs on NBC on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
