No more purity ring! Nick Jonas opened up about his sex life while attending the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, on Saturday, January 23. The former Disney star braved the chilly weather to promote his upcoming drama Goat.

Jonas, 23, plays a college fraternity member in the James Franco–produced film. His character, Brett Land, begins to second guess the Greek system’s rituals when he sees what his younger brother, Brad Land (Ben Schnetzer), has to go through during initiation.

The “Chains” singer opened up about his role — and how he can relate to Brett — during an interview with the Daily Beast.

“I think that growth is super important in any creative platform and in life in general, and in the TV show [Kingdom] I’m doing a lot of drugs and I’m having a lot of sex. So it wasn’t foreign to me,” he said.

Jonas has had a stellar year on the small screen, too. He’s appeared in the Fox comedy Scream Queens, and his show Kingdom was renewed for a third season last year.

“And I’ve had sex and drank a lot [in real life], so there are parts of this film that are perfectly real in some sense. But it’s important to take your fans on a journey,” he continued. “And it’s the responsibility of any artist to say, ‘This is what I’m connected to, this is what inspires me, and hopefully you can ask the same questions I’ve asked of myself.'”
