Let's get this party started! Everyone knows to expect a big show at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards — but this year there's a big pre-show, too. Us Weekly can exclusively reveal the names of three huge acts who will be getting in on the action on the red carpet outside L.A.'s Microsoft Theater: Nick Jonas, Kelly Osbourne, and Walk the Moon!
Former Fashion Police co-host Osbourne, 30 — a red carpet vet who's worked the Grammys, Oscars, Golden Globes, and more — will host the hour-long pre-show alongside Sway and Girl Code Live stars Carly Aquilino, Nessa Diab, and Nora "Awkwafina" Lum.
They'll be joined by Jonas, who's set to rock the carpet with the first-ever performance of his new song, "Levels." The "Jealous" hitmaker, 22, will also be treating fans to a sneak peek of the music video for the tune.
"I'm thrilled to showcase my new single, 'Levels' at such an incredible night in music," the hunky former Disney star says of the news. "There's nothing like playing new songs live for the first time, and I can't wait to surprise my fans during this performance."
Walk the Moon has something special planned, too. The band — made up of Nicholas Petricca, Kevin Ray, Sean Waugaman, and Eli Maiman — will open the pre-show extravaganza with their hit "Shut Up and Dance," which is nominated for Best Rock Video at the VMAs.
Following the pre-show — which kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on Aug. 30 — Miley Cyrus will take over hosting duties for the big event. The "Wrecking Ball" singer previously took the stage in 2013, when she pulled off a raunchy, headline-making performance with Robin Thicke.
The VMAs air Sunday, Aug. 30, at 9 p.m. ET on MTV.
