It's a tough job, but Us Weekly has done it: We've looked back over the last 20 years and ranked the 20 most beloved characters! Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) made the list, as did Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and his baddie predecessors Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) and Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini).

Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) earned her way onto our list, too. After all, who can fault a woman whom 30 Rock's Jack (Alec Baldwin) declared to be a "New York third-wave feminist, college-educated, single-and-pretending-to-be-happy-about-it, over-scheduled, undersexed, buy any magazine that says 'healthy body image' on the cover [woman who] every two years [takes] up knitting for…a week." Just like Us?!
