Aca-amazing! Pitch Perfect 2 is coming together ahead of its May 2015 release, and Anna Kendrick shared an adorable photo from the upcoming sequel's rehearsals.
Kendrick, 28, starred in the cult hit as a college freshman named Beca, who reluctantly joins her school's all-female a cappella group, the Barden Bellas. Hilarity ensues as Beca becomes friends with the cast of characters in her group, played by Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow, and Anna Camp, among others.
The Drinking Buddies star took to Instagram on Monday, June 16, to offer a behind-the-scenes peek at the shooting of Pitch Perfect 2.
"Sunday's spontaneous late night rehearsal attempt," Kendrick captioned the candid shot. "Love these girls, hate physical activity. #GallowsHumor #ItllBeGreatOnTheDay."
The image shows Pitch Perfect alums Kelley Jakle (Jessica), Wilson, Snow, Kendrick, Hana Mae Lee (Lilly), with newcomer Hailee Steinfeld, who was announced as an addition to the original cast for the sequel.
The actresses are pictured laughing as they stand in a line to rehearse a sequence.
Hitting theaters on May 15, Pitch Perfect 2 is also expected to feature other stars from the first movie, including Camp, Skylar Astin, Adam DeVine, and Alexis Knapp. Elizabeth Banks, who starred in Pitch Perfect as the a cappella commentator Gail, counts her first directorial feature credit for the upcoming film.
