‘Pretty Little Liars’ Releases the Final Season Trailer: What We Still Need to Know After Watching

The gAme is coming to an end. Pretty Little Liars’ first season trailer for the second half of season 7 was recently released, and while the clip is only 30 seconds long, it shows enough to suggest that these final 10 episodes will likely be the most explosive yet. Although the quick video gave Us some insight into what’s to come (spoiler: Spencer lives!), here are seven major questions we need answered after watching the clip above.

1. Is Jenna still a threat?

We last saw a very confused Jenna (Tammin Sursok) in the car with mystery villain A.D., learning their identity. In the clip above, Jenna and Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) have a brief face-off. While there’s no conversation to indicate what their tense-looking confrontation could be about, it means that she’s back in the Liars’ lives, and not paying the consequences for holding the girls up at gunpoint.

2. Are Toby and Yvonne alive?

Although we weren’t shocked to learn that Spencer (Troian Bellisario) survived being shot (we don’t even want to imagine a Rosewood without Spencer’s genius dry humor), there was no mention in the trailer of Toby (Keegan Allen) and Yvonne’s fate after their brutal car crash in the season 7A finale, which means, unfortunately, we’ll have to wait until the season’s April 18 premiere to learn if Spoby has a chance at a happy ending. (Sorry, Yvonne. It’s not you, it’s Us.)

3. Who is Spencer so angry with?

In the preview clip, we see Spencer scream at someone off camera, “You have ruined everything I’ve ever had!” While in normal circumstances it would be safe to assume she’s talking to her shooter, in Spencer’s case there’s a long list of people who have recently crossed her. Like, say, her biological mother and best friend’s aunt, who didn’t tell her until she was shot and possibly dying that she was her real mother. No shade, though, Mary Drake (Andrea Parker).

4. Does Aria stab someone?

It’s been a few seasons since we’ve seen a super rage-y Aria (Never forget when she found out Ezra was using her to write a book and she threw his pages into the wind, ransacked his apartment and then didn’t eat, speak or blink for, like, a week.) However, it seems Lucy Hale‘s character is back with a vengeance. Though the clip doesn’t reveal who Aria is potentially attacking, we do see her swiftly pull out a very large and sharp knife and step toward someone. #RageyAriaReturns

5. Why is Wren back?

The show’s original hot doctor, Wren (Julian Morris), is back and balder than ever. Yes, the slightly shady, sexy doc is returning to Rosewood with a fresh buzz cut. No explanation is offered for his comeback, but as show creator Marlene King told Us Weekly and other reporters August 31, “We’ll see him in more than one episode.”

Although King was unsure at the time if Wren’s ex Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) would be returning for the final season, it seems safe to assume she’ll be back based on an Instagram Bellisario posted of DeVitto on set October 19 with the caption “My favorite sister is taking a break from being a doctor,” (DeVitto currently stars on Chicago Med). Who’s ready for a second round of the Spencer-Wren-Melissa love triangle?

6. Does Ezra break up with Aria?

In a tension-filled moment, Ezra (Ian Harding) tells Aria, “There are things that have been done that can’t be forgiven.” While this may be referring to Aria deleting a missed call from his ex Nicole, who she thought was dead but turned out to be alive (it’s simple, really), we have to think that Aria can probably counter this argument with moments like the one mentioned in No. 4 on this list.

7. OK, WHO IS A.D.?

This is the only question that deserves all of the shouty-caps, because after seven seasons of A, Uber A and A.D. (bonus question: how many As have there been?) torturing the Liars, we need to know, like, yesterday who is behind the mask. In the clip above, Aria opens a note from the villain that reads, “It’s playtime!” Honestly, can we just focus on the relationships that need to be sorted out (hello: Haleb, Spoby, Ezria and Emison) and solve the mystery of this bully who clearly abuses way too much free time and what must be an unlimited data plan?

As Hanna (Ashley Benson) sort-of-inaccurately-but-true-in-principle explains: “You can’t spell anonymous without A.D.”

Watch the drama unfold in the clip above.
