Real Housewives of Orange County Returns for Season 8, Introduces New Cast Member Lydia McLaughlin

The Real Housewives of Orange County is getting juicier! The Bravo reality show will return for an eighth season premiering Monday, April 1, at 8 p.m. EST, Us Weekly can exclusively reveal.

Previous cast members Vicki Gunvalson, Tamra Barney, Gretchen Rossi, Alexis Bellino and Heather Dubrow will return for new episodes. The season also welcomes a new star, Lydia McLaughlin. Along with her husband, McLaughlin owns and operates a high-end magazine highlighting the glamorous life of Southern California.

“If she’s friends with Alexis, maybe she’s not my kind of people,” Dubrow says of McLaughlin, a self-proclaimed devout Christian.

Original Housewife Lauri Peterson also makes a surprising return, and reveals shocking information that rocks Rossi’s world. Rossi, meanwhile, is ready to start a family with boyfriend Slade Smiley. “Now is the time to start having lots of sex and have babies,” she laughs.

Barney, meanwhile, is frustrated over fiance Eddie Judge‘s reluctance to set a wedding date. “”Stop asking me when we’re going to get married,” he tells her. “I don’t need the pressure.”
