Sealed with a kiss? Kym Johnson and Robert Herjavec shared a steamy kiss on the Monday, May 4, live broadcast of Dancing With the Stars, and later explained what prompted the bold move to Us Weekly.
The Shark Tank business mogul, 51, and the dancing pro, 38, executed a contemporary dance to Jessie Ware’s “Champagne Kisses,” when they got swept away in the moment and exchanged a smooch on live television. The rumored couple, however, later claimed to Us that the entire sequence was part of their show-mance.
“It was just part of the dance!” Johnson said backstage, while Herjavec chimed in: “We’re professional dancers, we were just in the moment.”
Still, Johnson said it caught her off guard. “We just thought, ‘Let’s see how we feel on the night’ and that’s what we did,” she told Us. “We just — it took me by surprise because I didn’t know if he was going to do it or not.”
Herjavec — who recently split from his wife Diane Plese after 24 years of marriage — joked that viewers should see their intimate moment as art. “I’m just creating beautiful moments for the audience!” he noted.
As for whether the two are actually dating? A source told Us that the dancing duo were “definitely attracted to each other from the get-go.”
The same insider noted in March: “They are constantly all over each other. She can’t stop talking about what a good, nice guy he is. They have insane chemistry and are actually a great match.”
