Rod Stewart is following through on the doctor’s orders.

“Following his doctor’s advice, Rod Stewart has regretfully canceled his performances at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on May 29 and 30, but is scheduled to return with shows beginning June 2,” a representative for Stewart, 81, told local media outlet the Las Vegas Review in a Friday, May 29, statement.

Stewart was scheduled to perform at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30. The outlet noted that Stewart’s cancellation was due in part to a sinus infection.

“My apologies to my family of fans,” a separate statement from Stewart read. “I am on vocal rest as I recover from a sinus infection. I look forward to seeing you at a future show at Caesars Palace or on tour this summer.”

In 2024, Stewart shared that he would be ending “large-scale world tours” but had “no desire to retire.”

“I love what I do and I do what I love,” he wrote via Instagram at the time. “I’m fit, have a full head of hair, and can run 100 meters in 18 seconds at the jolly old age of 79. I’d like to move onto a Great American Songbook, Swing Fever tour the year after next — smaller venues and more intimacy. But then again, I may not.”
