What a turn of events! The final moments in last week's episode of ABC's Scandal featured a very angry President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) beating his former best friend Capt. Jake Ballard (Scott Foley) in an unknown interrogation room.
As seen in Us Weekly's exclusive preview, Capt. Ballard's whereabouts still remain unknown — and it's affecting Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) to the point that her estranged best friend and ex-colleague Abby Whelan (Darby Stanchfield) decides to intervene. In the clip, current White House Press Secretary Abby is seen timidly approaching Fitz in the Oval Office to discuss Jake's disappearance.
"What about him?" Fitz asks Abby. "He was taken into custody two days ago and hasn't been seen since," she notes.
Abby's question, though, is completely unrelated to a press inquiry, which upsets Fitz. "You just thought you'd stroll on into the Oval Office and ask the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces about something you have no security clearance for," he retorts.
"I'm not asking the Commander in Chief " Abby boldly replies. "I'm asking the married man who used to sleep with my friend what exactly he has done with the man she is currently sleeping with."
Find out what Fitz has to say in response above!
