Hot patootie! Fans are getting their first glimpse at Fox’s upcoming Rocky Horror Picture Show update, a two-hour taped production featuring Laverne Cox (Dr. Frank-N-Furter), Christina Milian (Magenta), Victoria Justice (Janet) and Adam Lambert (Eddie).
The TV remake’s pics were first posted by Entertainment Weekly and show Cox, 31, in the role originally portrayed by Tim Curry in the 1975 cult film.
Cox told EW that her costume might surprise viewers who are expecting a carbon copy of the 70-year-old Clue actor’s.
“I think we mix up the look more than they did in the original,” the Orange Is the New Black actress said. “It’s inspired by the original, but it’s really our own take. It’s way more elaborate and couture.”
The project also stars Reeve Carney (Riff Raff), Annaleigh Ashford (Columbia) and Staz Nair (Rocky). It follows the success of such recent TV musical events as NBC’s The Wiz Live! and Fox’s Grease: Live!
Rocky Horror airs on Fox this fall.
