Moving forward from the grave? In the Season 10 premiere of The Real Housewives of Orange County, Shannon Beador revealed that her husband David had cheated on her, causing them to work very hard on their marriage.
The mother of three told Us Weekly that her husband’s confession was “devastating,” and after some back and forth, the pair found themselves at a place called Couples Retreat.
“They have a 90 percent success rate with repairing marriages and we went through the process and it was eye-opening for the both of us and we received some tools that would help us repair our marriage,” Shannon told Us.
In a sneak peek for the Monday, June 15 episode, the Beadors show some of that immersive therapy up close. In the exercise, both Shannon and David have to write their own eulogy the way they’d want their spouse to read it at their funeral. They then are forced to lie down on the ground as their significant other reads aloud the eulogy.
“It’s not a pleasant thought, to think about writing your own eulogy,” Shannon says in the clip. “Because as it flashes through my head, I think about the bad things that I’ve done.”
But it seems to work. In fact, Shannon’s eulogy brings David to tears.
“David doesn’t cry so to see him break down emotionally like this, it’s pivotal in our relationship. It means something,” she says.
