Time to slow down. Kody Brown encourages would-be son-in-law Tony Padron to delay his wedding plans in an Us Weekly exclusive sneak peek at Sister Wives’ Sunday, December 4, episode.
The TLC series’ preview clip shows Brown, 48, traveling to St. George, Utah, to have lunch with Padron, who is dating Mykelti Brown. Mykelti — Kody’s daughter with third wife Christine Brown — and Padron are hoping to tie the knot as soon as possible.
At lunch, Kody explains to Padron, “My purpose to talking to you is to talk to you about the idea of putting off the wedding a little bit longer, for the purpose of making it a special occasion for Mykelti.”
That is not what Mykelti wants, as she tells the cameras, “Tony and I aren’t waiting. We’re getting married in August still. I don’t really want to wait.”
Kody continues to Tony, “I want there to be no regrets in this sense. It’s a challenge for me to do that — to make it special — if we go in August. I’d love to have you wait till spring, but I feel like a good compromise would be December. Because I think Mykelti would make grand December bride.”
Defending his girlfriend, Tony responds, “It’s a long time away, and she has expressed that she greatly would not like a December wedding.”
At that, Kody tells the camera, “I don’t care. It almost makes me want to laugh because it’s frankly immature.”
