Leah Messer isn’t giving up without a fight! The West Virginia native sought fifty-fifty custody of her kids during the Sunday, April 10, episode of MTV’s Teen Mom 2, while Jenelle Evans dealt with family drama, and Chelsea Houska prepared for a huge step in her relationship with Cole DeBoer. Over in Delaware, Kailyn Lowry got some blowback from her fight with Jo Rivera and received shocking news from her husband, Javi Marroquin.
Love Shack, Baby!
Chelsea and Cole are playing house! While Teen Mom 2’s cutest couple had only been dating about a year when this episode was filmed, they decided to take a huge step in their relationship and buy a brand spankin’ new house. “It makes me feel good that you wouldn’t be afraid to jump on it with me,” Chelsea told her man. “And then we’d have our house that we bought together!”
Unfortunately, Chelsea and Cole didn’t get the house they put an offer on, as another buyer came in with a boatload of cash, but the important thing here is that Cole is completely devoted to Chelsea. He even made reference to getting married in the backyard of their new pad!
So, what’s up with the other man in Chelsea’s life? This gal decided to file paperwork and raise Adam Lind‘s child support payments, and complained bitterly to a friend about how little he contributes. “He doesn’t have the responsibility of paying for what she eats — nothing,” Chelsea said. “His child support should be helping with groceries for her.… He really doesn’t provide anything.”
Adam had better shape up soon — especially since his daughter, Aubree, has taken to calling Cole “Coley Daddy.”
The Grandparent Trap
Jenelle vs. Barbara! Everyone’s favorite North Carolina native got into a fight with her mom over — what else? — custody of her son Jace. Here’s what went down: After picking up Jace from Jenelle’s house and finding out that he’d stayed up all night drinking soda while Jenelle went on a date with her new boyfriend, Barbara worried her grandson wasn’t in a good environment. (Oh, and to make matters worse, Jace told his grams to “shut up” on the ride home from Jenelle’s.)
“Do you think Mommy gets a lot of boyfriends really fast?” Babs asked Jace once they were back at her house. “I’m getting kinda worried about you going there. Would it bother you if you didn’t go over there for a little bit?”
Barbara ended up ignoring Jenelle’s calls when she tried to see Jace the following weekend and then admitted she was having second thoughts about him spending time there. “Jace is very, very, very upset about you going out and he wants you to stay home,” Barbara said.
Fair enough, but is that really a valid reason to keep Jenelle from her son?
Leaving on a Jet Plane
Remember when Kailyn secretly filmed her blowout fight with Jo? Yeah, well now things are super strained between them, which was evident when Jo dropped Isaac off at Kailyn’s house and didn’t say a word to her. “So, that was awkward when he dropped him off,” Kailyn complained to her friends. “So weird; he didn’t say anything to me.”
Jo drama aside, Kailyn found out that Javi will be deployed for up to six months overseas, which is a huge bummer. “It hasn’t sunk in for me yet. It’s not happening,” Kailyn said, before telling her husband, “I may or may not fall apart.”
Coparenthood
Last week on Teen Mom 2, Leah found out that Corey had won primary custody of their twins — and it looks like these little ladies had a hard time adjusting to the change. Sure, Leah filed a motion for shared custody, but her twin daughters, Ali and Aleeah, were visibly upset to be without her. “I can’t help it, I missed you!” Aleeah said while crying.
It’s clear that Leah’s daughters adore her, but they also admitted that their mom gets them to school late — although Leah shut that down pretty quickly. “Why would you lie like that? First of all, you guys have no business worrying about what time you get to school,” she snapped. “You guys just go to school. Me and your father handle what time you get to school.”
To be fair, Leah did manage to get her kids to school on time this week, and she also attended Ali’s chorus class. Supermom in the making!
