Who ya gonna call? Teresa Giudice phones brother Joe Gorga after his wife, Melissa Gorga, has a few too many adult beverages on The Real Housewives of New Jersey‘s Sunday, July 24, episode, as seen in Us Weekly‘s exclusive sneak peek.
The Bravo series’ preview clip shows the ladies exiting an event, where Melissa clearly enjoyed herself. As they get in Giudice’s car, Melissa, 37, informs her sister-in-law, “Your car has that, like, new smell car.” Good try, Melissa.
Without missing a beat, the Fabulicious! author, 44, fires back, “You’ve definitely had too much to drink.” Giudice also informs her pal that she’s “slurring,” before adding, “I’m going to call my brother and let him know how much you drank.”
When Joe answers the call and asks what he’s hearing in the background, Giudice bluntly tells him, “It’s your drunk wife.” Unfazed, an upbeat Melissa jokingly tells her husband, “Joe, bottom line — your sister’s terrible. … Whoa, my god! Your sister drives like s–t.”
The Love Italian Style author later tells the camera that she feels no shame about tossing a few back.
“I’m a fun drunk,” Melissa says. “I’m my own spirit animal. I become ‘Melissa Motherf–king Gorga.’ Melissa Gorga’s cool, but ‘Melissa Motherf–king Gorga’ — oh, my god!”
Giudice and Melissa have been on good terms so far this year despite turbulence in previous seasons. The season 7 premiere, which aired earlier this month, showed Giudice returning home in December 2015 after serving an 11-month prison stint for fraud charges. Her husband, Joe, started a 41-month sentence in March 2016.
