Don't throw the rice just yet! The Bachelor alum Erica Rose tells Us Weekly exclusively that she and boyfriend Galen Gentry, with whom she is expecting her first child, have decided to postpone their planned wedding until after they welcome their bundle of joy, despite what she said to Chris Harrison on ABC's The Bachelor at 20: A Celebration of Love special that aired Sunday, February 14.
During the special, which featured Bachelor in Paradise couple Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert tying the knot, Rose told the longtime Bachelor host about the couple's plans to tie the knot on May 1 before the baby arrives. But Rose now says they have changed their minds and plan to wait until they have a bit more time to dedicate to planning the nuptials.
"I want to just focus on this baby, so we decided to call [the May wedding] off and wait until after the baby comes to do anything," the reality TV star, 32, tells Us.
Us Weekly exclusively reported earlier this month that the pair, who started dating in November after meeting through work, are expecting their first child, due September 24. She is the director of business development for Gentry Law Group, where he is an attorney.
Rose, who competed for Prince Lorenzo Borghese's affection on The Bachelor season 9 and later appeared on Bachelor Pad's second and third seasons, previously told Us that she is "so excited" for the little one to arrive.
"We were trying, but I didn't expect it to happen so soon," she said. "It's something that I've always wanted and feel ready for, so we can't wait."
The Bachelor airs on ABC on Mondays at 8 p.m. EST.
