The Bachelor’s Jubilee on Show Regrets: Viewers Didn’t Get ‘a Great Interpretation’ of Me, ‘My Extremes Were Shown’

Ready to speak the language of love? The Bachelor season 20 fan favorite Jubilee, who Ben Higgins sent home in the February 1 episode after an ill-fated Spanish-lesson group date in Mexico City, tells Us Weekly exclusively that she doesn’t think viewers got an accurate sense of who she really is.

The Fort Lauderdale–based war veteran seemed to be connecting with Higgins — that back massage! — in the season’s early episodes, but clashed with him later, even refusing to hold his hand in front of the other ladies. This prompted the software salesman, 26, to cut Jubes — who also had friction with her housemates — prior to the rose ceremony.

Jubilee, 24, spoke to Us during the Women Tell All taping on Saturday, February 27, where she revealed that she might do things a bit differently if she were given a chance to redo her stint on the ABC dating series.

“I think this show, it didn’t really show a great interpretation of [how] well-rounded and balanced I am — all my different layers all kind of work together,” Jubilee says. “I think in a lot of instances, my extremes were shown — extremely insecure, extremely jealous, extremely this, I overthink everything extremely — but in the real world, I have like this balance with it, and it collectively makes a very well-balanced person, and I don’t think we really got to see that.”

“So that’s my only regret,” she continues. “I was obviously me — I was unapologetic, unedited — but also … I shouldn’t have overthought everything. I should have just kind of rolled with the punches, and let come what may.”

Jubilee, who says she uses the romance-centric apps Tinder and Bumble but hasn’t been on a date since the show, says that she would be open to starring as the season 12 Bachelorette.

“I don’t think that’s a role people ever really turn down,” she says. “There are things you definitely think about it and what works for you and what doesn’t and who you want to be while you do it, and you have to kind of have a game plan basically, and stick to it. I think I would do it. I don’t have much luck in the real world, as we see, or in the TV world, as we also saw.”

In what could be unfortunate news for Jubes and her fans, Us exclusively revealed earlier this week that producers have decided to pick one of Higgins’ final four ladies — Amanda Stanton, Caila Quinn, Lauren Bushnell or JoJo Fletcher — as the next Bachelorette.
