So good! Tina Fey stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, December 14, where she played a game of “First Impressions,” in which she was challenged to do her best impersonations of celebrities like Sofia Vergara, Jack Nicholson, and even Elmo.
“The game works like this: In front of us is a stack of cards with names of celebrities or famous persons on them,” Jimmy Fallon explained to the audience and Fey. “Now you pick up the card on the top of the pile and you read the random phrase on the card in the voice of that celebrity or character . . . I know you that well that I can probably guess.”
The Sisters actress, 45, first picked up the Jack Nicholson card. “Did you see that Adele concert tonight?” she read in a slow twang. “That little gal has got a hell of a set of pipes on her.”
Fallon, 41, speculated that her impression was either Matthew McConaughey or Nicholson, which was correct.
Fallon was challenged to do his best Barbara Walters. “I once saw a walrus wrestling on a rock,” he read aloud, as Fey immediately replied that it was the venerable journalist.
She was then asked to do her best impersonation of Modern Family actress Sofia Vergara. Puffing out her chest, Fey read, “My favorite Christmas song eeees,” as Fallon cracked up. The 30 Rock creator smushed her boobs together to accentuate her point.
