Britney Spears is back to her bad girl ways.
The 29-year-old hired real-life beau Jason Trawick to play her love interest in her latest music video, "Criminal," off her seventh studio album, Femme Fatale.
In the seductive clip, Spears leaves her abusive playboy boyfriend for Trawick, whom she later joins on a London crime spree. The two also strip down for a steamy sex scene before caressing each other's nude bodies in the shower.
Because Trawick, 39, isn't a professional actor, director Chris Marrs Piliero was hesitant to cast him as Spears' dangerous love interest.
"I wanted to make a really rad, epic video, and I definitely got the sense from Britney that she wanted something really cool," he explained to MTV News. "And in my mind, I was just thinking, 'We really should not be using your boyfriend; we should get an actor.'"
Trawick, who shed an impressive 50 pounds in the past two years, managed to impress the director with his rock hard abs and spot-on acting abilities.
"At the end of the day, Jason killed it," Marrs Piliero said. "For me, it was a fun challenge to be like, 'I'm gonna make sure that you are awesome,' and he was."
