Gossip Girl's Blair Waldorf is in a bit of a bind. As season 4's new episodes resume Monday after a six week hiatus, B finds herself torn between two of New York City's finest — good guy Dan Humphrey (Penn Badgley) and Blair's bad boy ex, Chuck Bass (Ed Westwick).
In the wake of her unexpected smooch with Dan, Blair (Leighton Meester) has trouble deciding which guy is right for her.
"Blair, we kept us a secret because we thought there was something there," Dan said, asking to kiss her on the February 28 episode to prove without a doubt there were no sparks between the one-time enemies. When sparks do fly, however, the pair choose to explore their "friends vs. lovers" relationship more in depth, while keeping their bond hidden from their pals.
In a sneak preview scene from Monday's premiere released by TVLine.com, Chuck comes to Dan to discuss his suspicions his ex-girlfriend is sneaking around on him and smooching another guy. Trouble is, Chuck has no idea that guy is Dan.
"A life-changing kiss might not be something you want to mess with," Dan tells Chuck in the clip. "If Blair's happy, then maybe you should let her be."
Indeed, Meester herself is torn as to which guy is right for her character.
"I think [Dan and Blair] are good for each other in a lot of ways, in a way that Chuck and Blair aren't," the actress told MTV News. "I like Chuck and Blair though. I think they're good together. And sexy."
