Jinger Duggar’s husband, Jeremy Vuolo, has stepped away from on-camera duties for their joint eponymous podcast.

Jinger, 32, announced on the Wednesday, September 9, episode that the show will be renamed “Call Your Sister” with Joy-Anna Duggar stepping in to cohost the show.

“He’s just in a very busy season of life, working a full-time job. He’s also, like, trying to finish his doctor of ministry degree and also starting a Bible study, doing a ton of things,” Jinger explained of Jeremy’s absence. “Since he’s in such a busy season, he’s going to be the producer of this podcast and help us out a little bit.”

Jinger, who shares three children with Jeremy, further thanked her spouse for helping out behind the scenes and becoming “such a good producer.”

“He was like, ‘Actually, I kind of like the producer role because I can still help create content, but I don’t have to be in front of the camera,’” Joy-Anna, 28, chimed in. “He said, ‘This is something that you guys want to do and you guys love it, then I’m happy to step back.’”

Jinger and Jeremy, who have been married since 2016, launched “The Jinger & Jeremy Podcast” in 2024. After nearly two years joining forces in the podcast booth, Jeremy encouraged Joy-Anna to take over in his place.

“I love that we’re doing this podcast because I know that, before we decided to do this, our weekly calls or every-other-week calls, FaceTime, texting, all the things are always a highlight for me to keep up,” Joy-Anna gushed. “[I love to] have a sister to talk to, and the kids always love jumping in on those.”

According to Joy-Anna, podcast listeners will be able to “get a little glimpse” into her sisterly dynamic with Jinger moving forward. (Joy-Anna and her husband, Austin Forsyth, are parents of three and are currently expecting another baby.)

“This just gives us an excuse to have an hour every week to just catch up, talk about life,” she gushed. “It really does feel like we’re just chitchatting with sisters.”

Despite Jeremy’s absence, Jinger and Joy-Anna still feel his presence in the studio.

“I had so many fun conversations with him, like, on our podcast, but Jer was always the mastermind behind things,” Jinger added. “He’s very creative. He just is able to think outside the box, and so I’m thankful that he’s going to just keep still being a part of this podcast even though he’s not sitting in a chair.”
