It’s rare for a performer to have two simultaneous unrelated hits on Netflix while also scoring a film in the top five at the box office. But Vanessa Kirby  has done it this week.

While The Fantastic Four: First Steps is fading a bit in theaters, Kirby is currently starring in two of Watch With Us‘ picks for the three popular Netflix movies you need to watch now.

This week’s selections include an intense new thriller, an action comedy featuring star power, and one of the most bizarre animated movies to emerge in a while.

‘Night Always Comes’ (2025)

Vanessa Kirby reminds everyone that she can do a lot more than superhero movies in Night Always Comes. This thriller features Kirby as Lynette, a woman who has finally found a way to keep her family together. To keep the authorities from taking away her brother, Kenny (Zack Gottsagen), Lynette put a deal together to buy a home. It would have been perfect if Lynette’s mother, Doreen (Jennifer Jason Leigh), hadn’t blown the down payment on a car.

Now, Lynette needs to replace the missing payment within 12 hours or else the deal will slip away. Once Lynette decides to rob her escort client, Scott (Randall Park), it sets in motion her desperate odyssey to get the money, no matter what she has to do.

Night Always Comes is streaming on Netflix.

Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019)

Kirby is also heavily featured in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, a rare movie with two ampersands in its title. Hobbs & Shaw leans more heavily into action comedy than any of the previous films, as former adversaries Luke Hobbs (Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) are forced to work together.

Deckard’s younger sister, Hattie Shaw (Kirby), is an MI6 agent on the run from renegade operative Brixton Lore (Idris Elba), a cyborg with enhanced strength. Hattie has also injected herself with a deadly virus to prevent Brixton from stealing it, and she’ll need help from her brother and Hobbs to survive long enough to extract it.

‘Fixed’ (2025)

Fixed is a marked departure for famed animation director Genndy Tartakovsky, whose credits include the very kid-friendly Dexter’s Laboratory and the Hotel Transylvania movies. Young children should probably be kept far away from Fixed, because this is a decidedly adult animated comedy with raunchy humor.

Adam DeVine leads the voice cast as Bull, a dog who runs away from home rather than submit to being neutered. Idris Elba voices Bull’s friend, Rocco, and they are accompanied on their wild adventures by their mutual pals, Fetch (Fred Armisen) and Lucky (Bobby Moynihan). Bull is facing the end of his good life, and also his last chance to declare his love for his neighbor, Honey (Kathryn Hahn). And if Bull’s rival, Sterling (Beck Bennett), has his way, then Bull’s romantic desires will never be fulfilled.

Fixed is streaming on Netflix.
