Jason Statham

Jason Statham is an English actor best known for starring in action franchises including The Transporter, The Expendables and Fast & Furious. Statham grew up in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, and developed an interest in sports, including football and martial arts as a child. Before becoming an actor, he was a competitive diver and member of Britain’s National Diving Squad. He competed at the 1990 Commonwealth Games and finished 12th at the 1992 World Championships.

Statham began his career as a model, appearing in campaigns for French Connection and Levi’s. His modeling work led to an audition with filmmaker Guy Ritchie, who cast him as Bacon in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998). Statham reunited with Ritchie for Snatch (2000), which featured Brad Pitt and helped establish him as a rising actor. He landed his first leading role in The Transporter (2002), playing professional driver Frank Martin and launching his career as an action star.

Statham went on to star in films including The Italian Job (2003), Crank (2006), The Bank Job (2008) and The Expendables (2010). He joined the Fast & Furious franchise as Deckard Shaw in Fast & Furious 6 (2013) and later starred opposite Dwayne Johnson in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019). His other credits include The Meg (2018), Wrath of Man (2021), Meg 2: The Trench (2023) and The Beekeeper (2024).

Statham previously dated model Kelly Brook for several years before their relationship ended in 2004. He began dating model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in 2009, and the couple became engaged in 2016. They share two children, son Jack Oscar (born in 2017) and daughter Isabella James (born in 2022).
