What truly set the tone for the special? The intro, of course, which took inspiration from ‘90s family sitcoms like Full House. Both Luna, 2, and Miles, 5 months old, were part of the fun, as were Legend and Teigen’s dogs. And don’t worry, there were plenty of cheesy freeze frame moments as the credits rolled.

The first guest who arrived at the party was Kris Jenner, and she came bearing good news for Teigen: She was going to become her manager (and her mother) as they started their own headband line together. This, of course, referenced Legend’s famous “Headband of The Day” song that Teigen posted on her Instagram while they were on vacation. Only one issue: Teigen had to change her name to a K, because those are the Kardashian rules.
“Everything’s better with a K,” Jenner reasoned.

Ever dreamed that Chrissy Teigen and John Legend would show up at your door unannounced? That dream came true for several families who were surprised by the couple’s Christmas caroling – they even brought along Jane Lynch, Darren Criss and Meghan Trainor. Everyone was super excited, including a dog that just couldn’t get enough of Teigen.

There’s been an ongoing debate about whether Teigen or Legend makes the best mac and cheese, and that debate finally came to a head. When Legend’s family arrived, they were demanding his version of the dish … and that led to Teigen letting her real feelings out on the subject.
“Every time John makes his mac and cheese, people go crazy,” Teigen said. “It’s like, ‘Yes, you can sing amazing, you have a ton of awards, we get it.’ But I feel like that doesn’t transfer into being able to make mac and cheese. I think they’re just giving him points because he’s John Legend.”
After both of them made their dishes and there was a taste test, it was ruled a tie — but that only prompted Legend and Teigen to take their dishes to a focus group, who officially declared Teigen as the winner!

During the special, Teigen had a dream that actually landed her in her worst nightmare: an audition for The Voice. However, instead of singing, she decided to try to make the judges laugh, which she accomplished by making fun of Adam Levine and Blake Shelton and telling Kelly Clarkson that she loved everything about her. In this version of the show, Legend was a judge, too, and Teigen knew exactly how to get his vote. She didn’t insult him, she just told him her favorite thing about their relationship.
“John, I make more money than you now!” she said, and that immediately had him turning his chair around for her!

As if the other guest stars on the special weren’t enough to get you excited, the guys from Queer Eye FaceTimed in to talk to Luna (and her grandma, Vilailuck Teigen). They were actually looking for her mom, just to check on how she was doing with her party hosting duties, but they were happy to talk to Luna instead.
“Honey, you look absolutely stunning. Merry Christmas! I am living for this hair!” Jonathan Van Ness told Luna, who giggled at the guys before accidentally hanging up on them!

After giving Legend his Christmas gift — a light up poster of their dogs — the power went out, causing a blackout. Naturally, that just gave the family a chance to gather around the piano and sing.
“For us, Christmas isn’t just about opening presents — it’s about being present and opening our hearts to one another,” Legend said. “No matter which holiday you celebrate, who you call your family, what’s happening in the news, we hope that you’ll all gather your loved ones close to you and celebrate this holiday season.”
On cue, Zach Galifianakis dressed as Santa arrived to share the good news: He flipped the circuit breaker and the power was back. A legendary Christmas, indeed.
