Shots fired! During a recent segment on Good Morning America, costars Gabrielle Union and Jessica Alba were given the tough task of interviewing one another. The ladies, who have become fast friends while filming their upcoming TV series, L.A.’s Finest, kicked things off by discussing the first time they hung out.

“I instantly felt very comfortable when I was chatting with you,” Alba, 38, said of that initial meeting.

That comfort level was on display as the Fantastic Four star posed her first question to Union, 46, who is also an executive producer on the show. “What is your favorite thing about working with me?” she asked, before clarifying that she also wanted to know Union’s “least favorite thing” about their time spent together.

“My least favorite thing is easy: your beef jerky habit,” the Being Mary Jane alum replied without missing a beat. “It’s aggressive. I’ve never been around anyone who eats as much beef jerky with as much glee as you do, so it’s your jerky.”

“That is my least favorite [thing],” the Bring It On alum added as Alba laughed.

It was all in good fun though, because as soon as Union began talking about what she loves about her costar, it became abundantly clear that these two have a mutual respect and admiration for one another. “It’s all upside. You’re a boss chick, you’re dope, you’re in on the joke and we’re super like-minded,” she gushed.

When asked about what she loves about the show, Alba was equally effusive. “What I love about this show is the fact that you created it,” said the Honest Company founder. “I think you can really tell that a woman is really at the heart of the show. I’ve never seen women depicted this way.”

Union, who described L.A.’s Finest as “an action dramedy,” then revealed what her “fake” profession would be, were she not an actress. “I would want to be the starting point guard for the New York Knicks and play in the Garden,” said the wife of NBA great Dwayne Wade. “Realistic job: a lawyer.”

L.A.’s Finest premieres Monday, May 13, on Spectrum on Demand.
