Ice-T caused quite the commotion on Twitter on Friday, November 9, after claiming he’s never eaten a bagel. The surprising revelation was made on the social media platform as the rapper was answering random questions from his followers.
When one fan asked Ice-T, whose real name is Tracy Lauren Marrow, what his favorite type of bagel is, the television star, 60, made the bold declaration that he has yet to bite into one. He replied, “Lol. I’ve never eaten a Bagel in my life.”

Within minutes, Ice-T’s followers expressed shock over his claim, and several even asserted he was outright lying, especially considering he’s played a New York City police office on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit for 18 seasons. In fact, as one follower pointed out, the actor apparently ate a cinnamon raisin bagel on a recent episode of the NBC drama.
However, according the Image Award winner, that bagel was just a part of some small screen magic. “Lol. TV is make believe,” he retorted.
What’s more? Apparently, the Bloodrunners actor inspired others to come forward with bagel truths of their own. When a follower shared that he’s never had a bagel either, Ice-T shot back, “Oh sh–. I’ve started a movement..”
The rapper then followed up the news with a tweet reminding people to stay calm. “White people.. Don’t lose your Fn minds because I’ve never eaten a Bagle.. Take it easy…. lol,” he wrote.
The New Jersey native later poked fun at the situation, adding, “I’ve never drank a cup of Coffee either… Go CRAZY!!!”
After exchanging some choice words with a few Twitter followers the “New Jack Hustler” singer attempted to smooth things over by naming his favorite breakfast pastry. “I do like jelly doughnuts!” he tweeted.
