Jenny McCarthy and Ryan Seacrest Reveal Their Go-To Hangover Foods: Pizza, Cheeseburgers and More

If anyone knows the secret to a good hangover food, it’s Ryan Seacrest and Jenny McCarthy! “My hangover hack would be lots of pizza,” Seacrest told Us Weekly exclusively. “I look forward to pizza in the afternoon.” In fact, the Live With Kelly and Ryan cohost, 44, called pizza and buffalo wings “my meal.”

McCarthy, 46, agreed that pizza is one of her go-to hangover foods, but also threw in another fast-food staple as well, explaining that she “sometimes” opts for a cheeseburger to get her through any post New Year’s Eve rough patches.

And for the Jenny McCarthy Show host, the medicine cabinet has also proven to be a worthwhile hangover-fighting accomplice. “You know those Emergen-C packets that people use? [I] take that and water and chug a whole one before bedtime,” she explained to Us.

Seacrest added that he was ready to indulge in some greasy food at the start of 2019 whether he was “hungover or not.”

Before the hangover has a chance to set in, however, he and McCarthy will be presiding over the end-of-year celebrations in New York City’s Time Square, where Christina Aguilera, Post Malone and more are expected to perform. “On New Year’s Eve, we will have expected rain and wind,” Seacrest told Us. “So it’s not easy for the performers. This is a tough gig, when you’re up on stage.”

Added McCarthy, who brought up Mariah Carey’s 2016 New Year’s Eve performance, which was riddled with technical difficulties: “I think after watching Mariah Carey, even though she redeemed herself the following year, I think the performers watched that and said, ‘Our game needs to be on.’”

Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve airs on ABC on Monday, December 31, at 8 p.m. ET.
