The Wonder Years

Network: ABC

ABC’s The Wonder Years is a coming-of-age series that aired for six seasons from 1988 to 1993. It follows a suburban middle class family living in the ‘60s and ‘70s.

The series stars Fred Savage as teenager Kevin Arnold, Dan Lauria as his father Jack, Alley Mills as his mother Norma, Jason Hervey as his brother Wayne, Olivia d’Abo as his sister Karen, Josh Saviano as his best friend Paul and Danica McKellar as his love interest Winnie Cooper. The show is narrated by adult Kevin, who is voiced by Daniel Stern.

While the show was filming its final season, costume designer Monique Long filed a sexual harassment charge against Savage and Hervey. The case was settled outside of court.

The Wonder Years won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series in 1988 and earned a Peabody Award in 1989. A reboot premiered in 2021 with Savage serving as an executive producer. It was canceled after two seasons.
