Aaron Rodgers revealed new details about his relationship with his wife, Brittani, whose identity has still not been revealed to the public.
“When we met back in 2017, I knew that there was something crazy special about this and I wanted to be with her,” Rodgers said on the Wednesday, March 4, episode of The Pat McAfee Show. “She would make funny comments like, ‘I would never live in Green Bay’ and ‘I don’t want to be a player’s wife.’ She’s not a public person.”
In 2017, Rodgers was quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, a job he would hold until the end of the 2022 season. (Rodgers and his wife got married in June 2025.)
Rodgers then hinted about Brittani’s stomping grounds, saying, “She moved back across the pond and I got myself into crazy town.”
The four-time NFL MVP had a string of high-profile relationships around the time he now says he met Brittani.
Rodgers and actress Olivia Munn broke up in April 2017 after dating for three years.
The quarterback started dating race car driver Danica Patrick in January 2018 and were together for two years before splitting. Rodgers then got engaged to actress Shailene Woodley in February 2021, though the couple split in February 2022 before making it to the altar.
Rodgers explained that having a series of relationships in the public eye makes him appreciate his wife’s desire for privacy even more.
“She didn’t sign up for this bulls***,” he told McAfee, 38. “She signed up for this because she loves me and supports me and wants to spend the rest of our lives together and start a family together. She didn’t sign up to be an out front social media WAG. She doesn’t want any of that bullshit. And I don’t either.”
Rodgers revealed that all of the attention surrounding his marriage forced the couple to move out of his Malibu beach home.
“The obsession is f***ing bizarre,” he said of the media’s coverage of his marriage. “That’s the only way to put it. The obsession is really bizarre.”
Rodgers said he keeps an increasingly “small circle,” given his increased privacy concerns.
“The people that are in that circle know [Brittani],” he insisted. “They’ve met her and they love her.”
With his NFL future still up in the air, Rodgers has been spending most of his quality time with his wife while doing his best to stay in shape.
“I’m trying to stay fit. It’s harder when you get older,” he said. “You can’t take the same amount of time off as you used to. After so many seasons, I would take a few weeks off, a month off, a month-and-a-half. Now at 42, you always gotta be dialed in on the diet and sleep and workouts if you want to look the right way.”
Rodgers added, “I want to look good. I want my wife to want to f*** me all the time.”
