Gia Duddy isn’t the first NFL girlfriend to highlight some of the less glamorous aspects of WAG life — but it’s her apparent issues with life in Cincinnati that are raising some eyebrows.
“Guys, I’m worried about my one friend moving to Miami,” Duddy, 25, said in a TikTok video on Monday, September 28. “Bitch, I’m in Cincinnati, Ohio. You’re going to Miami? Bring me with you.”
Duddy is dating an unnamed Cincinnati Bengals player, and appears to be referring to the significant other of linebacker Shaka Heyward, who recently signed with the Miami Dolphins.
“No I’m kidding, I love it here,” she quickly added about Cincinnati.
City swipes aside, Duddy’s larger point was about the effects that NFL roster moves have on players’ loved ones.
“The part of the WAG life that nobody talks about that isn’t as glamorous is when the men get traded literally off the drop of a hat and all of a sudden you lose friends,” she said. “I swear to God my four closest friends, every single one of them are gone. From preseason to now.”
Duddy added, “I’d like to say I’m all alone but I’m not all alone. I still have so many great friends here.”
Duddy previously dated Will Levis, now of the New York Jets, when the pair were in college and early in his NFL career with the Tennessee Titans. Speculation increased in August that she is now dating a Bengals player when she posted a day-in-the-life Instagram Reel that showed her at a Bengals practice.
She included a clip of wide receiver Andrei Iosivas catching a pass, leading many to conclude he is the mystery player. Internet sleuths later connected the dots with other social media clues to confirm their suspicions, though neither has addressed the relationship publicly.
While Duddy appears to have no problem calling herself a WAG, other NFL wives and girlfriends have a different view. Kylie Kelce, wife of former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce, spoke out about the controversial label in a 2025 appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.
“I don’t like it because I think it has a serious negative connotation attached,” she said. “I think it’s the suggestion that your spouse’s profession swallows you up, as well.”
Kylie, 34, added, “Both Jason and I have made a serious effort to make sure that, while he was playing, it was clear that was his job in the same way that someone would go to work and come home and not necessarily talk about their entire day [of] filing taxes and doing spreadsheets.”
Kristin Juszczyk, wife of San Francisco 49ers player Kyle Juszczyk, pointed out in a 2025 appearance on Kylie’s “Not Gonna Lie” podcast that no other profession has a similar title attached to it.
“What I’ve always found so interesting about that word is there’s not a word that describes a lawyer’s wife or any other type of profession,” she said. “For me, I take such pride in what my husband does and I love supporting him; it’s my favorite thing. But, that’s not the only person that I am. I’m my own individual, so that word makes me crawl out of my skin. I think it always has.”
