Before Olivia Culpo and her husband, San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, told the world they are expecting another baby, they told their families. Thankfully, they documented the moment for all to see.
“Telling our family I’m pregnant again ❤️,” Culpo, 34, wrote via Instagram alongside a video compilation of the couple delivering the good news to their loved ones.
The video begins with the couple themselves learning that Culpo is pregnant with McCaffrey, 29, being the first to look at the positive pregnancy test before turning it to his wife of two years, then showing the camera.
After that, it showed the fun ways Culpo and McCaffrey decided to break the news, including having family members pose for a photo and asking them to say “Olivia’s pregnant again” instead of “cheese.” In another clip, Culpo writes “Big Sister” on 11-month-old daughter Colette’s onesie, then waits for a relative to notice.
Culpo and McCaffrey began dating in 2019 and tied the knot in a Watch Hill, Rhode Island, ceremony in 2024. They welcomed Colette in July 2025.
Culpo announced her second pregnancy to followers on May 8.
“Best birthday gift ❤️,” she wrote via Instagram, alongside photos with McCaffrey and Colette. “Baby #2 coming soon.”
Culpo opened up to Us Weekly in February about McCaffrey’s close bond with Colette, saying she “always knew” he would be a great father.
“He has a really good example because his parents are great,” she said. “He will be such a good example and protector to her. I know that she’ll always be able to feel like she has someone who loves her more than anything. I feel like everybody deserves to feel that.”
She also predicted that Colette would grow up to be a “daddy’s girl.”
“She loves her dad, and little girls really do,” she said. “You see the way that they light up with their dad.”
McCaffrey returned the favor, singing Culpo’s praises in February as well.
“Watching Olivia become a mom has been so cool,” he told Us. “We had [Colette] in July, which was right before training camp so I was kind of in go-mode and went through the whole season. There’s challenges that come with that. So, to now take a breath and be able to be a dad has been really, really fun. We have the same values in life, there’s never really any conflict when it comes to that stuff. Obviously I can’t be there for most of the day, and she really does love it. As a girl dad, you definitely get softer. I don’t care what anyone says.”
