Taylor Swift apparently decided to turn down the opportunity to get a little Mile High as the Kansas City Chiefs faced off against the Denver Broncos.
The pop star, 36, did not appear to be in attendance for the Chiefs’ Sunday, November 1, AFC West showdown against the Broncos at Empower Field.
Swift’s apparent absence continued her recent trend of not traveling with husband Travis Kelce and the team for road games. Instead, the pop star appeared to spend the day at a FYC screening of Toy Story 5 alongside the beloved animated film’s director Andrew Stanton.
“Yeah, so I was on a tour that was, um, a lot of things but it was pretty physically exhausting and it was a 3-and-1/2 hour show and one of those tours — I have actually never experienced this level of exhaustion between shows,” Swift recalled of her history-making Eras Tour and how her brother, Austin Swift, convinced her to lend her voice to the film’s soundtrack. “I was like in bed all the days that I wasn’t playing a show just trying to rest up.”
She continued, via social media footage, “So my brother contacts me … sometimes we talk like siblings and sometime we have business conversations that are half-business, half-siblings … he calls me up and he’s like, ‘Hey, I really think you need to see Toy Story 5.'”
Safe to say, Swift’s calendar remains full as her husband experiences what is said to be his last season in the NFL.
Earlier this week, Kelce, 37, responded after Prince William jokingly said he tried bumping the Chiefs star out of a selfie he took with Swift at an Eras Tour stop in England in 2024.
“I get it, man,” Kelce said on the Wednesday, October 28, episode of his “New Heights” podcast. “I was just a boyfriend at that point, you know? I wasn’t her husband yet, you know.”
Kelce joked that the Prince, 44, was likely thinking, “’We don’t really know if this is going to last, so [can you] just move out of the way real quick so we can keep this photo forever?’”
Swift and Kelce got married in July at New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
Since tying the knot, Swift has appeared at every Chiefs home game at Arrowhead Stadium. She last attended Kansas City’s 22-6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on October 18. At that game, beauty influencer Ashlie Molstad described the scene when Swift took her throne inside her suite during the first quarter.
“Three big ass dudes come in and they are there for security for Taylor,” Moldstad explained. “Then you just kind of start observing what the f*** is going on and what that world is like. [The security team] is head on a swivel as if they’re Secret Service, right? I mean, she is the most famous, at least American, celebrity that we have right.”
She continued, “Anyway, there’s these three men and they’re very friendly to us. They’re very nice. But they are very locked into…they are not watching the game. They’re watching people. It was kind of wild to see how many people are constantly looking.”
The Chiefs return home for their next game, hosting the New York Jets on Sunday, October 8.
