The wife of NBA star Jaden Ivey showed her continued support for her husband weeks after he was waived by the Chicago Bulls.
Caitlyn Ivey shared a poster promoting her husband’s “Closet Cleanout for a Cause” via her Instagram Story on Monday, April 20.
The auction went live on Monday night and features Jaden’s game-worn shoes, practice-worn shorts, autographed memorabilia and more. Caitlyn and Jaden, 24, got married in 2022 and share sons Noah, 3, and Isaiah, 13 months, and daughter Shiloh, 2.
Fans can bid on the items until midnight EST on Monday, April 27. “Proceeds will go to uplifting a charity that we know God will direct us to,” according to the auction’s poster.
Jaden was waived by the Bulls for “conduct detrimental to the team” on March 30 after he appeared on a live stream making derogatory remarks about the NBA’s affiliation with Pride Month and the LGBTQIA+ community.
“The world proclaims LGBTQ, right?” Jaden said during the stream. “They proclaim Pride Month and the NBA does, too. They show it to the world. They say, ‘Come join us for Pride Month to celebrate unrighteousness.’ They proclaim it on the billboards. They proclaim it on the streets. Unrighteousness.”

The following day, Jaden hinted at marriage trouble in a separate live stream.
“My wife in here, and she not even texting me,” Jaden said on March 31. “Those who are around me, those who are my family members betraying [me] because of what I spoke. The truth. Betraying me. Saying that I’m losing my mind. Saying that I’m crazy. … Those are my own household. All because of the Gospel. All because I said the truth.”
Caitlyn attempted to downplay rumors about their relationship the next day.
“If you know me you know I have never once abandoned that man through all the trials.. and I still haven’t now,” she wrote via her Instagram Story on April 1. “There is obviously a lot going on, so leave your conspiracies and your guesses to yourselves.”
In another post, Caitlyn denied that she had stopped talking to Jaden on the day he was waived by the Bulls.
“We were communicating all morning of that day,” she claimed via her Story. “People say things for attention, do not be deceived.”
Caitlyn also shared some of the hateful DMs she had received in the wake of Jaden’s allegation about her.
“Of course you’re hopping on the bandwagon, treating Jaden like he’s nothing. You just wanted his money,” one message said.
Another person wrote, “All these family pics, complete bulls***. It’s all a front. If it’s true that you turned your back on your husband, you’re a piece of s***. Your life is a f***ing lie.”
Caitlyn captioned the images, “These DM’s (and many more) over one lie spoke on my name.”
