Just days after acting as best man at the wedding event of the century, Jason Kelce was back to working on his golf game.
Kelce, 38, hit the driving range ahead of the 2026 ACC Golf Championship presented by American Century Investments in South Lake Tahoe on Wednesday, July 8, as seen in video footage captured by Us Weekly. The former Eagles star attempted to perfect his swing before the celebrity golf tournament officially kicks off at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course on Friday, July 10.
A regular competitor at the tournament, Jason was overheard confirming to another golfer on the range that his brother, Travis Kelce, would not be competing this year.
Travis, of course, married Taylor Swift in a ceremony at New York City’s Madison Square Garden on Friday, July 3, during which Jason had a major role.
“Swift’s brother, Austin Swift, served as Taylor’s ‘Man of Honor’ and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man,” a statement from the pop star’s representative read. “The ceremony joined both families together.”
Jason is regularly a star attraction at the American Century Championship, including last year when he was spotted signing a crying baby’s onesie during the tournament.
Since retiring from the NFL in March 2024, Jason has become even more of an avid golfer — but it’s come with a very specific problem.
“I’ve fallen in love with golf, and the season is getting ready to get reved up again,” he posted via X in March. “One thing I have struggled with is my weak ankles. Years of NfL games have destroyed my ankles, I don’t know that I’m cut out for just golf shoes. I think I need golf BOOTS!”
Last year, Jason posted a video on Reddit trying to get some advice about his golf swing.
“Jason Kelce here. Now that I’ve hung up the cleats, I’m trying to get serious about my golf game,” he wrote. “I’ve uploaded different angles of my swing from a session yesterday. Looking for any tips you can give me — especially on my backswing and follow-through.”
The former NFL star has even turned the sport into a family affair, posting a video of his oldest daughter, Wyatt, at a driving range in April.
“It was her first time with a real club, and I’ve never seen a prettier swing,” Jason shared via Instagram. “She also won closest to the pin and got a mint chocolate chip waffle cone as a result.”
