Jelly Roll made quite the entrance at WWE WrestleMania 42.

The country singer, 41, joined the main event between WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and challenger Randy Orton on Saturday, April 18, where he helped Rhodes, 40, take out announcer Pat McAfee.

McAfee, 38, was first thrown onto a table by Rhodes, at which point Jelly Roll (real name Jason DeFord) ran at the sports analyst from a neighboring table. He then leapt into the air and slammed an elbow into McAfee’s chest, bringing the table crumbling to the ground.

McAfee was carted out of the event on a stretcher, giving the middle finger to the crowd at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas as he exited the room.

Orton, 46, ultimately took out the referee, leading McAfee to return in a referee’s uniform — but Orton took him out too.

Rhodes emerged victorious in the match, but a last-minute punch from Orton left him with a bloody face.

Ahead of the event, WWE star The Miz hit back at fans who have criticized the decision to bring Jelly Roll and McAfee into WrestleMania.

“A lot of people will get upset about celebrities coming into WWE,” The Miz, 45, exclusively told Us Weekly on Thursday, April 16, while promoting Prime Video’s American Gladiators. “I’ve always said this: I want celebrities to come in. Because I want a new crop of people who might not watch WWE, but they might be fans of the celebrity. When they come in, I guarantee we will make them a fan because no one does what we do better than us. We are the best at entertainment.”

The Miz continued, “It’s interesting that people are talking like this, because isn’t WrestleMania season the time to make the most noise? And who makes the most noise? More than anybody? Pat McAfee and his big mouth. Sometimes he needs someone to shut it. I believe that person is going to be Cody Rhodes. Randy Orton, though, man. I’ll tell you what, you’re going to attach yourself to someone, Pat knows who to attach himself to. Randy Orton is a GOAT. He’s the person who taught me in the ring how to be a top-tier talent.”

Jelly Roll’s participation in WrestleMania comes after he lost nearly 300 pounds and overcame struggles with food addiction.

“Man, I was on the brink of death. I’m not trying to stand on a soapbox, I’m just passionate about it, knowing how upside down our system is with food. And as an addict, it was hard for me to get away from it, so I did a lot of work with food,” he told E! News in January. “Running’s been my real healer. [I] wake up and run every day — I mean every day, seven days a week — even if it’s a recovery run, it’s one mile and it’s a 15 minute jog, really slow. I run every day.”
