Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham has weighed in on Angel Reese’s apparent trolling of ex-boyfriend Jalen Duren, urging the Atlanta Dream star to “move on.”

“Worry about the current boyfriend,” Cunningham, 29, said on the Tuesday, May 5 episode of her “Show Me Something” podcast.

Reese, 24, is currently dating Orlando Magic star Wendell Carter Jr., but previously was rumored to be in a relationship with Duren, 22, of the Detroit Pistons.

The Magic and Pistons faced each other in the first round of the 2026 NBA Playoffs, with the Pistons coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win the series, 4-3. During the series, she was a vocal supporter of the Magic on social media and trolled her ex by sharing a video via Instagram of Carter, 27, dunking on him.

Coincidentally or not, Duren’s numbers dropped drastically during the Magic series compared to his regular season statistics. While he averaged nearly 20 points per game during the 2025-26 season, in seven games against Orlando, he posted just 10.6. Though he averaged a double-double during the regular season, he had only one game against the Magic with double-digit rebounds.

“Something had to have happened for [Reese] to keep, I don’t know, wanting to embarrass him in some way,” Cunningham suggested.

“Or nothing happened!” her co-host, Summer House star West Wilson, replied.

Reese has previously said that she would try to keep her personal life private going forward, explaining on her “Unapologetically Angel” podcast that she was hesitant to go “public” with her dating life.

“I think the next time I’ll post when I’m in a relationship is when I’m married,” she said in a January 2025 episode. “And that’s some time from now. So you ain’t going to see it. You might see me on a date. You’re going to have to catch me, though. I’m not going to post a man on my page.

As for Duren, he exclusively told Us Weekly in January 2026 that he is single.

“I’m just focusing on myself and my career right now,” he said.

He added that dating amid the grind of the NBA season is difficult.

“It’s hard,” Duren said. “The schedule, being in the season, being locked in, trying to have success, team success, that’s always the main goal. … Everything else just kind of gets pushed to the back.”

He and the Pistons currently hold a 1-0 series lead over the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Game 2 will tip at 7 p.m. ET on Thursday, May 7.
