Tiger Woods has returned to rehab after taking a quick trip home to Florida to support his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, amid her recent breast cancer diagnosis.

After TMZ Sports reported on Sunday, May 24, that Woods’ private plane had returned to Switzerland, where the golfer was seeking treatment, insiders confirmed to People that Woods, 50, is back abroad.

“Tiger should be in a planned program for a while more,” the source told People in a story published Tuesday, May 26. “He is doing fine and on the road to a healthier future.”

“He wants to feel better and play golf,” another source added. “He wants to live a good life and be with those he loves. This is what he has to do to get to that point.”

The first source also confirmed that Woods had returned both to attend Vanessa’s daughter Kai’s high school graduation and to support Vanessa, 48, as she began her health battle.

“I’ve recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” Vanessa announced via Instagram on Wednesday, May 20. “I would like to thank my doctors for performing a procedure earlier this week on me. I am staying focused and hopeful while surrounded by the love and support of my family, my kids, and those closest to me.”

Woods was home in Florida for just over a week after TMZ published photos of him touching down stateside on May 13. He first entered treatment on April 3, a week after he was arrested following a rollover car accident near his home.

Woods pleaded not guilty on March 31 to charges of DUI with property damage and refusal to submit a lawful (urine) test. He broke his silence the same day, releasing a statement via X.

“I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today,” he wrote. “I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.”

Woods continued, “I’ve committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones and myself at this time.”

Woods and Vanessa began dating in 2024 before going public with their relationship early the next year.
