Alessandra Ambrosio has a rock of a ring.
Ambrosio, 45, took to Instagram on Thursday, August 13, to show off her colossal engagement ring from her fiancé, jewelry designer Buck Palmer. The Victoria’s Secret angel held her hand up while relaxing in bed and gave her followers a close-up of the ring, which is a cushion-cut diamond set in a yellow gold bezel. She teamed the ring with a gold manicure.
Roy Albers, the chief gemological officer at Worthy, exclusively opened up to Us about the ring, sharing it’s likely “between 5 and 7 carats.”
“Alessandra’s ring is oriented north-to-south, which is the traditional setting for diamonds, giving this ring a modern twist on a classic solitaire,” Albers explained, noting the orientation helps “elongate the finger.”
Albers also told Us that since Palmer, 44, is a jewelry designer, he “likely did not pay retail” price for the diamond. “If he were to pay retail, I would estimate that it would cost between $125,000 and $185,000.”
“Still soaking it all in… 💍🐞🌙,” she captioned the post. “Some Magic moments.” Her celebrity friends and followers were quick to praise her ring in the comments section.
“Stunning and love the ring 😍,” designer Amarsana Gendunova wrote, while Heidi Klum added, “Yiiiiipppppiiiii lovebirds ❤️❤️Congratulations 💍.” One of her fans commented, “Congratulations. You will be the most beautiful bride EVER ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.”
Ambrosio and Palmer announced their engagement via Instagram on Tuesday, August 11. Palmer got down on one knee and popped the question to Ambrosio on a beach in Nihi Sumba, Indonesia. They hugged each other while being surrounded by flowers, making a heart in the sand. In another pic, the pair sat together in the sand and embraced. Ambrosio and Palmer also held hands and showed off their matching heart-shaped tattoos.
For her proposal, Ambrosio wore a white-and-gold bikini featuring triangle cups and string bottoms. She accessorized with delicate earrings and her hair was still wet from swimming in the ocean.
“I’d choose you in this life and every life,” she wrote alongside the pics. “Here’s to forever, my love. 💍✨.”
Ambrosio and Palmer began dating in 2024. Through the years, the duo have traveled the world together and shared moments of their vacations via their joint Instagram account, @ourdream1111. Together, they’ve traveled to Rome, the South of France, Hawaii, Tokyo, Malibu and more.
