Alessandra Ambrosio

Alessandra Ambrosio is a Brazilian model best known for her work as a Victoria’s Secret Angel. Ambrosio was born in Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, where she developed an interest in modeling at a young age. She enrolled in modeling classes as a teenager and went on to pursue a full-time career after being discovered through the Elite Model Look national competition.

Ambrosio’s career took off after appearing on the cover of Elle Brazil in the late 1990s. She went on to model for major fashion houses, including Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani, Prada and Ralph Lauren, while becoming the first spokesmodel for Victoria’s Secret’s Pink line. In 2004, she officially became a Victoria’s Secret Angel, helping cement her status as one of the world’s top models. She walked in the brand’s annual fashion show for nearly two decades, including wearing the Fantasy Bra in 2012.

Throughout her career, Ambrosio has appeared in campaigns for brands including Dolce & Gabbana, Guess and Swarovski. She also established a presence in Hollywood, appearing in projects including Casino Royale (2006), Daddy’s Home (2015) and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows (2016). She has been recognized by publications including Forbes as one of the world’s highest-paid models during her career.

Ambrosio was engaged to businessman Jamie Mazur from 2008 until their split in 2018. The former couple share daughter Anja (born in 2008) and son Noah (born in 2012). Following their breakup, she briefly moved on with Richard Lee. In 2024, she began dating jewelry designer Buck Palmer.
