The wedding, a Great Gatsby-inspired New Year’s Eve bash, was a black-tie occasion: Caldwell and Harvey asked their guests to wear sharp tuxes and sequined gowns to fit the theme.

For her big day, the 32-year-old wore a custom, strapless, mermaid-style gown by Walter Mendez, which featured elaborate beading on the bodice. The bride styled her blonde bob with loose waves parted elegantly to the side for a classic old Hollywood look. The groom, a professional soccer player for the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, looked dapper in a maroon three-piece suit.

The couple’s reception was catered by 24 Carrot, while champagne flowed at their open bar. Guests danced the night away and lit sparklers with the couple, who symbolically released Chinese lanterns with their friends and family at midnight.

“It honestly was our perfect day thanks to our friends and family,” Caldwell tells Us. “The best night of our lives by far.”
