Cape dresses are here to stay!
After Solange Knowles donned a bevy of caped looks during her three-day wedding celebration in New Orleans last month, other celebs are taking heed to the magical effects of the look. Angelina Jolie kept the trend going at the 2014 Variety Screening series for Difret, a new film that she executive produced on Tuesday, Dec. 9, in Hollywood.
The mother of six engaged in a sit-down chat wearing a whimsical black knee-length Ralph Lauren dress with slit sleeves that gave off a caped effect. She teamed the look with her favorite nude pointy-toe pumps and sparkling diamond studded earrings.
Jolie, 39, wore her brown hair down in a loose style. Does Angie have a new favorite silhouette? You may remember the actress in another caped look, a white Ralph & Russo couture dress on Nov. 25, at the Unbroken premiere in London.
At the screening for the movie about the struggles with women’s rights and abductions in rural Ethiopia, Mrs. Brad Pitt became emotional as she reflected on how her daughter Zahara, 9, escaped a similar fate, when she was adopted from an orphanage in Ethiopia in 2005.
“I have my Z,” she said. “Obviously I saw this film and I think it took me the first 20 minutes to stop crying because she looks a lot like my daughter, and if Z was still there the chances of this happening to her, they’re high.”
